2014 02 25 LEED awards points for preparing the radon vent for a fan . . . should one be needed. today, the electricians installed the electricity for the fan. i don’t think we will need this because the beneath the slab is so tightly sealed. but, just in case
2014 02 24: the garage doors are installed. i think they look very stylish with the clear glass panels.
2014 02 24 the interior doors are being installed. this is good news! the doors’ styles nicely fit the modernity of the house.
2014 02 16 LEED awards points for keeping the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning ducts clean during construction. the first picture shows one of the mini-splits bagged, the second picture shows the intake duct to the second mini-splict closed off with cardboard and the third picture shows an ERV vent capped. zehnder, the ERV manufacturer, provides the ducts with caps. very nice!
2014 02 05: wallboard is being installed. it’s beginning to look like a house inside.
miche booz’s work is beginning to really show. walking from the hallway in the private area into the living area is a great experience. the space seems to magically expand. it’s much like frank lloyd wright’s compression in a confined space with a release into large space except that the small space in the old hopkins road house is pleasant.
